These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of services provided by Sit, Stay, Salute. ("we", "us", "our"), including but not limited to dog walking, training, and boarding services. By booking or using our services, you ("the Client", "you", "your") agree to be bound by the following terms.

1. Introduction

Welcome to Sit, Stay, Salute. By using our services or booking through this website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before booking.

2. Services Provided

We offer dog walking, dog training, and dog home boarding services.
We reserve the right to refuse service to any dog that poses a risk to staff, other animals, or the public.

3. Booking and Payment

Bookings can be made via Phone/Email.
We accept payments via Bank Transfer/Cash.
Payment is due prior to the commencement of any service.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance for a full refund.
No-shows may be charged up to 100% of the scheduled service.

4. Client Responsibilities

Owners must provide accurate information about their dog’s health, behaviour, age, and vaccinations.
Proof of up-to-date vaccinations (including flea and tick treatments) is required before boarding or walking services commence.
Owners must inform us of any medical conditions, medications, or behavioural issues.
All dogs must be microchipped, as required by UK law.
Clients must ensure safe and secure access to the property for scheduled services.

5. Animal Welfare

We will take all reasonable care of your dog but cannot guarantee against illness or injury.
Owners accept the inherent risks involved in boarding, training, and walking.
In the event of an emergency, we will attempt to contact you immediately. If you are unreachable, you authorise us to seek veterinary care at your expense. We are not liable for vet fees unless due to our negligence.

6. Liability

We are insured and take every precaution to ensure your pet’s safety and well-being. However:

We are not liable for injuries, illness, loss, or death of your pet, except in cases of gross negligence.
Owners agree to take full responsibility for any injury, damage, caused by your pet to others (people, animals, or property) or legal claim arising from their dog’s actions and to cover any related costs or damages. You agree to indemnify and hold Sit, Stay, Salute harmless from any claims resulting from your dog’s behaviour, unless caused by our negligence.

7. Transportation

If we transport your dog, we will take all reasonable safety precautions, including use of appropriate restraints.
We are not liable for injury or illness occurring during transport unless due to our negligence.

8. Home Boarding

Our home boarding service is operated in accordance with local authority licensing conditions under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (Scotland) Regulations 2021. Our premises are inspected and approved for boarding dogs overnight.

9. Data Protection and Privacy

We collect and store client and pet information solely for the purpose of providing services.

10. Complaints and Disputes

Please raise any complaints promptly via email.
We will endeavour to resolve disputes amicably. If unresolved, disputes may be referred to mediation or legal proceedings as necessary.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions.
Clients will be notified of significant changes via email.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Scottish law. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of Scotland.

13. Additional Clauses

Photo and Video Consent:
By using our services, you consent to photographs and videos of your dog being used for promotional purposes unless you inform us otherwise in writing. You can opt out at any time by notifying us in writing.

Force Majeure:
We are not liable for failure to provide services due to events beyond our reasonable control (e.g. natural disasters, pandemics).

Severability:
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Walking Specific Terms

Drop-off and pick-up times must be scheduled in advance
Dogs will be kept on-lead unless:

1.We have the owner’s written consent, and/or

2.We are in a safe, legal, enclosed area.

Even with consent, we may choose to keep a dog on-lead at our discretion for safety reasons.

Dogs may be walked in groups unless otherwise agreed.

If solo walks are required, this must be arranged in advance.
Payment is due prior to the commencement of any service.

Home Boarding Specific Terms

Drop-off and pick-up times must be scheduled in advance
You must provide sufficient food, medications, and written care instructions
Additional charges may apply for late pickups
For home boarding bookings, a 25% non-refundable deposit may be required at the time of booking, with the balance due before the dog’s stay begins.

Training Specific Terms

Training success depends on consistency; you agree to follow through with the training at home
We may provide written instructions, videos, or demonstrations
Results may vary depending on the dog’s age, temperament, and history
Payment is due prior to the commencement of any service.

All services are delivered with the utmost care and professionalism. However, behaviour modification takes time, and results depend on consistent reinforcement at home. Therefore, no specific outcomes can be guaranteed.

By booking any service with Sit, Stay, Salute, you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
